Canadian snowboarder Max Parrot won his first Olympic medal at the 2018 PyeongChang Games. In 2019, he was diagnosed with cancer and began treatment. After six difficult months, Parrot beat cancer and made his comeback in 2020. At the 2022 Beijing Olympics, Parrot achieved his snowboarding dream by winning gold in the slopestyle event. He called it "the best run of my life."
