Day 14 | 30 Day Phonics Boost π Learn to Read with Sounds, Blending & CVC Words | British Teacher
Show Description
In Day 14 of our Phonics Boost, we continued our exciting journey to become reading superstars! Today, we focused on the 'b' sound and practiced saying it together. We had a fun sorting game with objects that start with the 'b' sound, like 'banana' and 'bear,' while we used our magic spell, 'Hocus pocus, phonics focus,' to make it all happen!
After our sorting adventure, we sharpened our listening skills with oral blending by sounding out words like 'bat,' 'bun,' and 'big.' With enthusiasm, we took turns reading these words aloud, building our confidence. For a little challenge, we also learned the word 'blend,' talking about how we combine sounds to form words.
We revisited some previously learned words and introduced a new tricky word, 'be.' Together, we practiced reading them all, reinforcing our skills. As we wrapped up the session, we played an exciting game where we identified missing sounds, a great way to test our phonics knowledge. I'm so proud of all the hard work youβve done so far! Letβs keep up the amazing effort as we look forward to Day 15!
