In Day 17 of our Phonics Boost journey, we continue to sharpen our reading skills with exciting new sounds! Our focus today is the sound 'er' along with some familiar sounds we've practiced before. We begin by practicing these sounds together, getting faster each time to build our confidence. Then, we dive into a magical sorting activity where we identify objects that start with our focus sound. With a little phonics magic and a fun chant, we sort items like flamingos and forks, helping us learn through play!
Next, we engage in oral blending, sounding out words like 'fan' and 'fox' together. It's your turn to join in, and we even tackle a challenge word: 'frost.' We review some words we've learned over the past few days, making sure to sound them out and recognize tricky words like 'of.' As we near the end of our session, we revisit our focus sounds and play a game that helps us remember them by identifying missing sounds. It's a fun and interactive way to reinforce our learning! This phonics for kids series is designed to give children a confidence boost while helping them learn to read using phonics in a fun, engaging way! 📚

Each video features 5 sounds, before focusing on one key sound to really strengthen understanding 🍎
This series covers Phase 2 phonics and early Phase 3 phonics, making it ideal for early readers, children in EYFS, or children needing extra phonics support 📚
