One of the biggest of the big cat crew
Sub-saharan Africa is where they dwell
But you can also see them in the zoo
A group of lions is called a pride
A good name 'cause they share the glory
The females do most of the hunting
While the males guard the pride's territory
Zebra, deer and wildebeest
Are just some of the prey that they eat
In a single meal, a lion consumes
Up to 88 pounds of meat! (Oh my!)
They call the lion the king of the jungle

Is that they actually don't live in the jungle
