Tigers hang out in forests and grasslands
And swamps of Asia their habitat is vast, man!

They're the largest big cat on the planet
An endangered species so we don't take 'em for granted
They're anywhere from 6 to 10 feet long
And both males and females are extremely strong
They have a powerful bite that can crush through bones
They're not pack animals, they like to hang out alone
And when they hunt for prey, they stalk quietly at night
With excellent vision even with very little light
The stripes on their fur are good camouflage
So they can easily hide and just wait and watch
Until their prey comes along, then it's ambush time
They drag the carcass away and find a place to dine

"So what exactly does a tiger eat?"
Well, they're carnivores, so they only feed on meat
They like deer, and moose, wild boar, and bear
But also birds and fish if they want some lighter fare
And every now & then they might hunt some porcupine
But a faceful of quills will make 'em change their mind
But no matter what they eat, tigers feast for real
They can eat up to 90 pounds of meat in one meal!
And we gotta talk about the tiger's stripes
Just like human fingerprints, no two patterns are alike
It tricks the eyes to help the tiger blend in
And even underneath the fur they have stripes on their skin!
Another fun fact is that tigers are great swimmers
They don't mind getting wet to stay cool or hunt for dinner
